Rogoznica is a small town located in the middle of Dalmatia, on the coast between Sibenik and Split, Rogoznica was once an island. Rogoznica is located on an island (connected by an embankment and a road to the mainland) in an almost completely enclosed bay. The beautifully indented Rogoznica bay from the east, south and southwest is completely protected by the Ražanj peninsula and the island of Smokvica, while its western coast is exposed to the open sea.
On the Gradina peninsula there is Lake Zmajevo oko filled with seawater. This lake is considered a natural bioreactor in which biochemical processes take place.
A special day for the Rogoznica region is the Feast of Our Lady of the Chapel 02.07. when a procession takes place with the figure of the Miraculous Mother of God. The procession goes by sea, and many people in the boats follow the figure of Our Lady. Young boys and girls swimming with Our Lady's image fulfill their vow.
Rogoznica is located in central Dalmatia, on the coast between Sibenik and Split.
The Adriatic Highway passes through the town.
